As we're eagerly waiting for Alaa's release so we can pick this project up again, I'm sure he'd be disappointed that this has been abandoned all this time.
So I'd like to volunteer with whoever is still interested in getting Drupal fully localised. So many translations are outdated and we have so many suggestions that are ready to be approved. Getting those out of the way would be a huge progress.

@layalk is well placed to pick up this project - I know she is passionate and dedicated, from what I have read about Alaa, it feels right that he would want this to be kept alive.
I am not part of the Arabic team, but know Layalk to be a proficient linguists and Drupal developer and believe she would be a fantastic asset.
