The only way this works out in my opinion is if we share responsibility.
Suuch will maintain overrall Team administration but we need to get more of us involved. There is a huge amount of work to do.
I envisage my input to be more of getting us moving.
We need:
- An individual whose Swahili is strong enough that will be able to pick out correct translations from multiple suggestions.
As many of these individuals would be ideal.
- A recruitment team. We need help. 27 guys with possibly a large number of them no longer active will get us nowhere. Anyone out there that can maybe talk to College/Uni IT lecturers and make Drupal input a class requirement or something of the sort?
Any other ideas.
Basically, if you've been around for a while, why not join the admin team?

Ahsante BongoNets,
I've added you to admin.
Kazi ambazo ulikuwa umefanya bado zinangoja kupitishwa.
Getting core translated
Some time ago I started an attempt at translating D6 into Swahili, the result was just two guys (including me) slaving away. We never completed the task it was just too big. You are right there is a huge amount of work to do to make it happen. 27 is a good number to aim for - I'm volunteering

A lot of the work that was done earlier is still pending in the approval list Carl, so go ahead.
Some of the suggestions per item are nearly similar or need editing so if in doubt I guess we form a 'doubt list' for member input?
I am available for
I am available for translation work plus a bit of evangelism if needed. Admin rights will be appreciated.
I think I was part of D6
I think I was part of D6 translation but we never completed. Well I think its a good thing if we start with Drupal 8. I got this on email Multilingual Improvements for Drupal 8 from Aqua. Should this be our starting point?
