Hi Aryan,
I am Sunil Dhimal from Sikkim, India. I too feel that Nepali Translation is not maintained actively since long. We need more admins/moderators who can approve translations as there are lot in the queue for approval.
@snkr: Please do the needful. Make few more people admins who can take localizing of Drupal in Nepali ahead!
Thanks and Regards
Sunil Dhimal
We now have a procedure for
We now have a procedure for how to deal with translation groups which have been abandoned by the admins, see http://drupal.org/node/1874852
aryansubedi has posted an issue at http://drupal.org/node/1793084 . We will now wait two weeks, as the procedure says. If there's no satsifactory reply from the current admin in that time, we will appoint an additional admin, after guidance from comments from the Nepali translation community. (That admin can then appoint more admins.)

Hello guys,
Hello guys,
I would like to take responsibility of being one of admins to manage Neplai Translation. I am a Nepali guy from Sikkim,India. I have been using Drupal since almost 4 years and also participating in translation services. I am aware that Nepali Translation is not at all active and I would like to take responsibility of taking Nepali Translation ahead along with other members.
@sknr: Please do consider my nomination.
@aryansubedi: Its good that you have taken initiative to report this issue.
Thank and Regards
Sunil Dhimal
Doing the translation.
Hello there soon I am going to start a project in NCIT College (situated in Lalitpur, Nepal) to do the translation. So if possible please add me as an admin. Thanks.
Regards.
There are two main types of
There are two main types of permissions for translation groups:
In the Nepali group, snkr is now the only one who has these permissions. If snkr doesn’t become active during the next two weeks, the admins at localize.drupal.org will give one more member of the Nepali translation team both these permissions. That person should then give further permissions to others in the Nepali translation team, as needed. That person can appoint many group admins, and many translation moderators, if that’s what the Nepali translation community wants.
The admins at localize.drupal.org know very little about the Nepali translation team, and don’t know who should be the next group admin. Therefore, we hope you can tell us who this should be. Who do you trust to be active in the group, and to give permissions to others when needed?
It’s good that many of you volunteer for the admin job, but right now we need you to recommend one of you as the first new admin.
The group was deleted by the
The group was deleted by the previous admin. I have created it again, and set aryansubedi as new group admin. (More information on what happened: http://drupal.org/node/1876572 )
Aryansubedi is now able to give other users more permissions, both as group admins and as translation moderators.
Good luck with continuing translating :-)
