hi everyone

i think that we should translate drupal in hindi as logical way.
1. why we are translating:- we are translating this projects in hindi so hindi user can use it in ease and feel free to understand the projects and workflow of the projects.
2. The problem :- problem is this that hindi is so infulenced from other languages and it is changing as we use it with context of our other language. and when we are translating in hind we are trying to translate technical terms into hindi which is often not useble or not easily understandeble which is denying the first reasen of translating into native languages.

so i think we should translate any technical words or strings inot core hindi words which are not understandeble easily and we should look for user expirence ann make it better for user to understand i know i did translate some strings in a way that is not easily grasping ;-)

so when we translate than we should think of this that, can other use this words or santences easily.

I would suggest don't move from exact translation of technical word in Hindi because it will create a chaos and there might be chances that user never find the meaning of that word, if its not translated exactly in Hindi.
And if a word translated exactly in Hindi, even if I don't know the meaning of that word I can easily search and get the clear meaning of that word.

yup i agree if we translate complete technical words into hindi as it is than we'll hv trouble but we should translate those words which we use in our daily bases as a hindi user which is much comfortable like "install" is translating as 'प्रतिस्ठापन' or something else which don't click instantly or we could provide english word in hindi script in brac like "प्रतिस्ठापन (इंस्टोल)".

does it make sense? i don't know but i think is that we are translating because it's 'comfortable'.

I myself haven't used much of apps localized in hindi, but I think having the original english word in brackets for such words like this "प्रतिस्ठापन (install)" might make more sense.

I think we should search for simpler words first if possible. Writing english words besides may not be a good idea

Hi there, it will be nice if someone is committing suggested translations which is waiting to be approved just to keep interest and passion level up and have contributors keep coming and adding translations.
